13. Casa De Penedo
Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscape of northern Portugal, Casa de Penedo is a house built between four enormous boulders. The ingenious design camouflages the house so well that it blends seamlessly with its surroundings.
Originally intended as a peaceful holiday retreat, the mysterious stone building soon became a tourist attraction. Although the original owners have moved out, the house now serves as a small museum celebrating the beauty of nature, living up to its name – “Casa de Penedo” or “House of Stone.”
