10. Smilodon : The Terrifying Sabertooth Cat
Known as the sabertooth cat, Smilodon was a prehistoric feline that lived approximately two and a half million years ago. Sporting eight-inch-long fangs, it possessed a menacing appearance. Despite its impressive teeth, computer scans of Smilodon skulls revealed that its bite force was only slightly stronger than that of a human. To compensate, Smilodon had longer front legs and a muscular build, allowing it to grapple with prey and deliver a precise bite to the throat. Sadly, climate change and human activities led to the extinction of Smilodon approximately 10,000 years ago.
