8. Cameroceras : Ancient Alien Of The Seas
During the Ordovician period, around 470 million years ago, Camaroseris, an early cephalopod, inhabited the oceans. Its most striking feature was its immense 36-foot-long shell, providing protection for its main body. These carnivorous creatures would lie in wait horizontally, using their three-foot-long tentacles to swiftly ambush their prey. Crushing trilobites and sea scorpions within their massive grasp, they would feast on their soft tissue, leaving no trace of their victims behind.
