3. Rhamphorhynchus : Pigeon-Sized Terror
Although smaller in size, the Rampharincus makes up for its stature with its terrifying features. With a wingspan of only 6 feet and a total body length of 20 inches, these pigeon-sized reptiles were equipped with needle-like teeth that served a gruesome purpose.
Rampharincus would swim just above the water, impaling and catching slippery fish with their spiky bills. Their unique feeding technique allowed them to secure their prey, skewer it, and devour it whole. Fortunately, these menacing creatures disappeared from the skies 137 million years ago.
