4. Measuring Tape Edge
Next time you use a measuring tape, take a closer look at its edge. You’ll notice that it’s serrated or jagged. This design allows you to mark your measurements by scratching the surface. Additionally, the small hole at the end of the tape is used to hook it over a nail or secure it in place while measuring.
