6. Dangerous Dragon Challenge
Universal Studios’ Dragon Challenge ride offered an exhilarating experience as intertwined roller coasters emulated battling dragons. However, in 2011, a significant incident took place when a loose object struck a rider’s face during the ride. Following the incident, safety measures were promptly implemented to prevent similar occurrences. Despite these precautions, the removal of the dueling feature, where the trains would chase each other, resulted in a decline in the ride’s popularity. As a consequence, the Dragon Challenge ride was ultimately closed in 2017. This incident highlights the significance of ensuring rider safety and maintaining the unique elements that attract visitors to amusement park rides.
