6. Chimpanzee’s Broom Skills
Chimpanzees and orangutans, our closest primate relatives, have displayed astonishing intelligence. With 99% of their DNA similar to humans, it’s no wonder they exhibit remarkable cognitive abilities. At the Welsh Mountain Zoo, guests were astonished when a chimp imitated human behavior, adopting the gesture of pointing. A chimpanzee found a broom left in its enclosure by a zookeeper. With no training, the chimp knew exactly how to use the broom, demonstrating its understanding of purpose and problem-solving skills.
