9. Orcas: The Ocean’s Apex Predators
Orcas, commonly known as killer whales, are often considered the apex predators of the ocean. These massive mammals, with their intelligence and cooperative hunting techniques, can take down even the largest of prey, including great white sharks. Their astonishing strategy involves ramming the shark, flipping it upside down, and inducing tonic immobility, rendering the shark paralyzed. Once incapacitated, orcas proceed to suffocate the shark and even enjoy the highly nutritious liver as a snack. With their speed, size, and hunting prowess, orcas are the true rulers of the sea.
