Most Expensive Dog Breeds In The World

2. Berger Picard

Average Price: $2,500*
Country of Origin: France

The Berger Picard is a rare kind of dog with special tall ears that measure about four to five inches. It comes from France and was originally bred there to help with herding animals. After World War I, these dogs nearly disappeared, but their numbers started to grow again. However, during World War II, their population was greatly reduced.

Even though there are a few Berger Picard dogs left, they’re not very common, which is why they can be expensive to get. These dogs have shaggy fur and are a light brown color. They’re known to be loyal and confident companions, and they can weigh up to seventy pounds. People who breed these dogs are working to increase their numbers, and their good nature makes this task easier.

In the early 2000s, the Berger Picard became known because of a movie called “Because of Winn-Dixie.” It was also seen in other films like “Are We Done Yet?” and “Daniel and the Superdogs.” While this breed might not be as famous in movies as the Golden Retriever, it’s still becoming well-known.
