22. Boerboel
The Boerboel, also known as the South African Mastiff, is a large kind of dog that was originally bred to protect homes. They’re really big and strong dogs, but sometimes their behavior can lead to problems.
For example, in North Carolina, there was a sad incident where a 59-year-old woman was attacked and killed by her own Boerboel. When the police came after someone called 911, the dog wouldn’t let them go inside the house.
