4. Qutzalcotlus : Giants Of The Skies
Imagine a 16-foot-tall reptilian stork with a 36-foot wingspan soaring through the prehistoric skies. Quetzalocotelus, the largest flying creature to have ever lived, instills a primal fear in us. While their gigantic wings would have allowed them to glide above the ocean, these formidable predators surprised scientists by being found 250 miles away from any coastline. It is believed that these monstrous birds fed on land animals, using their long, thin jaws to swallow smaller dinosaurs whole. Luckily, these colossal creatures went extinct 66 million years ago.
